It’s been over twenty years since I left New Zealand and made my way across the Pacific Ocean with nothing more than a backpack full of clothes and the ‘maybe’ promise of a job once I arrived in Osaka.
The years have gone by quickly but it feels like a lifetime. Still the passage of time has not diminished my love of my home country and my desire to share the best of it with anyone I meet.
I’m absolutely thrilled to be introducing North South Stewart to you. Together with my husband we have opened a small online store to share authentic New Zealand made clothing with you. We hope you love it.
Our plans for Jackrabbit cafe are on hold while we execute “Phase One” which is the opening of the online store. Our bank manager wasn’t as excited about the renovation of an old Japanese building for our cafe as we were.
Starting small and online will help us keep overheads down while we continue to search for the perfect location.
In the meantime we will be posting POP-UP cafes where we will share New Zealand-style coffee and food and showcase our genuine New Zealand-made accessories for North South Stewart.
Stop by on December 15th from 2pm for our Grand Opening Party!
